Your Weekly Spark: The Power of a Penny

Hi!

As this year comes to a close, I’ve been sitting with one simple reality. Life can be chaotic ... but right alongside the chaos are small miracles that can ground us in the present moment and guide us along the way.

It’s been a year of noise for many of us, with busy days, heavy headlines, personal challenges, and the constant pull to do more, be more, and figure it all out. In the midst of all that motion, it’s easy to miss the quiet miracles that happen right alongside the chaos.

I recently came across an old piece I wrote way back in the day of pay phones and calling cards. The message is timeless and it felt like the perfect way to wrap up this year. It's called The Power of a Penny. It’s a reflection on how the smallest things—things we’re tempted to dismiss or overlook—can carry far more meaning than we realize.

As you move through these final days of the year, my invitation is simple:
Slow down just enough to notice what did show up for you.
What supported you.
What surprised you.
What added up, little by little, in ways you may only now be able to see.

If you’d like to read the reflection, you can find it here:

Thank you for being here this year. Thank you for reading, reflecting, and allowing space for meaning in a world that often rushes past it. I’ll be taking a gentle pause before the new year begins, with wonderful things to share on the other side.

Until then, may you find calm in the quiet moments, and may the small miracles meet you exactly where you are this holiday season.

With love,
Trish

Hi, I’m sharing something different today. Recent events stirred a story in me that I’ve carried quietly for a long time—one I didn’t plan to share, but one that asked to be told. This post includes reflections on addiction, violence, and personal experience. I’m offering it with care, and with the hope that naming hard truths can open space for compassion, understanding, choice, and healing. If now isn’t the right time for you to read it, please trust that.If it is, I hope it meets you...
